Litleo is a decent Pokémon in Generation 6 OU, as it can endanger a good few Pokémon.
Litleo's 72 Speed stat allows it to outpace a few OU threats in Generation 6, and its Normal/Fire typing helps it defensively. Litleo's best set in Generation 6 OU is the following;
Litleo, alongside these moves, needs the ability Unnerve, 252 Sp.Atk, 252 Speed, a Hasty nature, and 4 Attack, alongside 0 Defense and Special Defense IVs, while holding a Focus Sash. Overheat is used to muscle through some opposing Pokémon, such as Skarmory, Breloom or Magnezone(after a burn/entry hazard damage). Bulldoze is to lower faster Pokemon their speed; the minimum defenses Litleo has ensures that it usually gets to a Focus Sash. The only Pokémon to not get outsped by Litleo after a Bulldoze are Flying types(immune to Bulldoze), faster Pokémon with a Choice Scarf, or Pokémon with a base speed stat of 135 or higher, with maximum Speed with a positive nature. After this, Litleo can either decide to use Thief(in the case of the opponent not being a Mega-Evolved Pokémon or potential Mega, such as Lopunny or Beedrill; Beedrill will, in all cases, die to STAB Overheat instead, so do not Bulldoze a Beedrill), Will-O-Wisp, to cripple them if they are a physical attacker without Guts, or Overheat, to dent or OHKO Pokémon like Breloom, Magnezone, Beedrill-Mega, Ferrothorn, Scizor(both) or Skarmory.
Defensively, Litleo's typing keeps it safe from Cofagrigus specifically, who usually runs Will-O-Wisp and Ghost-type moves; moves which Litleo is immune to. Unnerve is used to keep any Lum Berries from the opponent's Pokémon from activating, so the Burn damage can stack up before Litleo faints. Litleo usually spirals out of control if it is allowed to stay in, or used as set-up fodder, to which it will spread burns and lower the opponent's speed substantially, or burn+KO them with overheat.
Pyroar is the evolved form of Litleo. What makes Pyroar worse in this role than Litleo, is... it being significantly bulkier. Litleo's defensive profile is 62/58/54, which is significantly worse than Pyroar's 86/72/66. Pyroar is much more likely to not have its Focus Sash break due to this, which also means that it'll never be able to steal the opponent's item, causing Thief to stop being a useful move on the set. Pyroar's higher speed of 106 doesn't mean anything, as Litleo will outspeed anything below 135 base Speed due to Bulldoze.
Accelgor, Aerodactyl-Mega, Alakazam-Mega, Beedrill-Mega, Electrode, Lopunny-Mega, Manectric-Mega, Ninjask and Sceptile-Mega. The only ones you have to really worry about are Aerodactyl, Sceptile, Lopunny and Manectric.
At all costs, you should keep your Litleo from fighting any of the Lati twins, Mega Charizard Y, Moltres, Talonflame, or in general water types; Water types don't have a burn immunity(Unless they are Volcanion or a Floatzel, Huntail, Lumineon, Mantine, Seaking or Wailord with Water Veil), and you could probably just steal from when they try to hit you with a Water-type move and break your sash, as Litleo can't be burned by Scald. You should mostly try to steer away from any flying types, unless they've been sufficiently crippled by Burns.
The advice to steer clear from flying types doesn't count for Pokémon like Tropius, Skarmory, Jumpluff, Beautifly, Butterfree, Ledian, Masquerain, Mothim, Ninjask, Pinsir-Mega, Scyther, Vespiquen, Vivillon or Yanmega, who are either OHKO'd or very heavily dented by Overheat to the point they are crippled, and KO'd by the next Pokémon to switch in.
